Between 45 and 50 students make a continuous stay during the course

The Colegio Mayor ‘Ovidi Montllor’, after some time without activity, has reopened its doors a year ago. Its main objective is to give service to the university community in general, both for students and ‘Erasmus’, as for teachers, researchers, congressmen … The school’s facilities are located at Calle Sant Joan de Ribera, 11, in the area of ​​the Viaduct .

Currently they make a stay of continuous form between 45 and 50 students in this 2018/2019 course. The Deputy Director of Culture, Sports, Senior University and College, Rosa Vercher, has shown his satisfaction for the activity that exists in the College and for its “family and pleasant” atmosphere.

Last Wednesday, October 24, the board of directors appointed the ‘Collegiate Board for the 2018-19 academic year’, made up of 20 UPV school students, who elected Eve Lotty Bennett, a student of the Bachelor’s Degree, as Dean of the School through voting. Engineering in Industrial Design and Product Development and as the new representative of the College Council to Miguel López del Pino, student of the degree in Computer Engineering.

Most rooms are individual and two of them are adapted for people with reduced mobility. Among its facilities, it has study rooms, a gymnasium, a sports court, a TV room, a dining room with seating for 90 people, a self-service laundry room, a garden and an auditorium with capacity for 130 people.

The company in charge of managing the Colegio Mayor is ‘Comunidad Móvil Alcoi SL’. In turn, it also manages the renovated Campus Cafeteria. Between the two services, the company employs 19 people. It should be noted that 2 of these workers belong to the Association for the Integration of Children (AIN).
